At Gail Wildfong School of Dance, our teen program gives students in 6th through 12th grade the chance to build their technique, express themselves creatively, and stay active in a fun, encouraging space. This well-rounded class brings together three foundational dance styles—Ballet, Tap, and Jazz—giving teen dancers a chance to build versatility and confidence. Through Ballet, students develop strength, balance, and grace using the respected Cecchetti method. Tap adds rhythm, musicality, and coordination, while Jazz keeps things energetic and expressive with upbeat movement to fun, age-appropriate music. In this 45-minute class for students in 4th grade and up, dancers combine Jazz technique with expressive movement, acting skills, and lip-syncing to favorite Broadway hits. In our Acro class for 4th grade and up, dancers build strength, flexibility, balance, and body control while learning exciting acrobatic skills. For dancers in 4th grade and up, our Cecchetti Ballet Technique classes offer structured, progressive training through Grades I-V.
