STUDIO INFORMATION AND POLICIES 2024-25

**CLASSES BEGIN MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 9 **

ATTENDANCE Dance requires good technique, strength, concentration and dedication. It is imperative that every student is at every class and on time. Absent students burden themselves and the other students in the class. Missed classes are to be made up as soon as possible, in a similar class. If a student MUST be absent, I expect to be notified ahead of time.

ATTIRE Our in-studio “RoseBud Boutique” carries everything you need! Boutique Hours (Starting September 9th): Mondays 3:15-6:00, Tuesdays 4:15-6:15, Wednesdays 3:15-7:15, Thursdays 3:15-6:00. It’s recommended to come on the reopening days to avoid crowds and being late for your first class. .

Ballet: One-piece leotard (must be black for Cecchetti tech. classes) worn with pink tights. Ballet skirts allowed for non Cecchetti classes only. This outfit is essential for checking body alignment, technique and correct muscle usage. Do not buy cheap ballet shoes at Target, etc.  Ballet shoes should not have extra room “to grow into.” They are supposed to fit the foot so the student can point correctly.

Tap:  Leotard or dance tank with the option of either dance shorts or leggings. Flat black patent leather taps for preschool thru 3rd grade.  Flat black lace up or slip on for 4th-adult & boys. (Team students MUST get black lace Capezio Cadence tap.)

Hip Hop: Leotard or dance tank with either shorts, leggings, or sweatpants. Clean sneakers that are not worn outside, or jazz shoes. Shoes for recital are TBD

Lyrical: Leotard or dance tank with the option of either dance shorts or leggings.Tan Foot Undeez.

HOLIDAYS AND RECITAL DATES: The studio usually follows the same holiday schedule as Gladwin Schools. Notes will be posted on the bulletin board and sent home with your child before vacation. If Gladwin schools are canceled for any reason, so is dance. We do not do make-up days unless there is an unusual amount of cancellations. The tentative schedule is:

The first half of the costume payment is due November 20 and the second half December 20.  Late payments hold up the entire order, or may result in your child not receiving a costume and having to forfeit recital.  All recital information will be available in May. Classes generally begin learning dances at the end of November or early December.

RECITAL & MEDIA FEE:  In order to keep recital video costs affordable and worthwhile the time of our videographer, and to maintain our website to keep you informed, there is a $23.00 recital/media fee per family. More information will come in May about recital.

RECITAL: Will be broken into “Show A” (June 5 & matinee June 7) & “Show B” (June 6 & 7).  Show A is for 2nd grade and under, all teams & some solos. Show B is for 3rd and above, all teams and some solos. SOLOS only perform at ONE recital. (Petite Team consisting of 2nd/3rd grade will TBD which show they are in.)

TUITION PAYMENTS:  Monthly statements will be e-mailed approximately 1 week before they are due, and families should plan to make tuition payments by the FIRST of each month. If for some reason you do not see your email, you should make a note to send payment in by the 1st of each month. The payments are set up for the entire dance season, so the number of classes per month does not change the monthly price. It’s simply a monthly payment plan for your child to dance the full dance year/season. If you prefer to pay for multiple months, you are welcome to do that. (September payment due at your first class instead of on the 1st.)

**LATE PAYMENTS –include a $10.00 late fee. Returned Checks will be charged a $30.00 fee. Late payments for costumes will be charged an extra $20.00/costume. (To cover extra shipping fees, costumes not being ordered in bulk, and extra time for staff to place the order separately.)

REFUND POLICY No tuition refunds will be made after two weeks of enrollment. If a student drops before the two weeks, the refund will be prorated.  Students must fill out a withdrawal form if dropping a class. This will be your responsibility to avoid confusion with billing. COSTUME MONEY IS NON REFUNDABLE FOR ANY REASON.

WAITING AREA:  We cannot monitor students in the waiting room while teaching. Parents understand that if a student will be in the waiting area between classes for extended time that they are not supervised. The students are expected to sit quietly until it is time for their class, to respect the studio space, and pick up after themselves.

OFFICE HOURS: Becky Kirkpatrick will be at the studio to answer questions or take payments on Wednesdays and Thursdays from  4:30-6:30. Vreni is available by phone most days when not teaching.

FUNDRAISER: We will be offering a studio wide fundraiser for anyone interested. Candle fundraisers will be sent home with dancers in class in the fall.
